In a rare break for my usual Tablet / Kindle based reading I have a real paperback copy of the Michael J Fox memoir.
A talented bloke who got diagnosed very very early and has made it his mission to help bring awareness about Parkinson's disease internationally, and the aim to find a cure for the the many who have this.
Batavia
Peter Fitzsimons is one of the best story tellers of the current age. I have been mowing through each of his great books over the last couple of years and learning so much about Australian history and folk law.
From Burke & Wills, Ned Kelly, Cook, Bligh, Kakoda and Eureka, his ability to put you in the moment is magificent.
If you haven't read one of his books, get on with it!
