The start of spring is welcome in my world. My favourite plants are beginning to show signs of flowers blooming.

Finn - Rest In Peace
My youngest daughter Emily lost Finn, one of her Rescue Greyhounds, to cancer this month. She was understandably devastated. I have much respect for her advocacy work with trying to not only stop greyhound racing altogether but also to rehome discarded ex racing greyhounds. She is a very dedicated advocate, frequently speaking about the plight of these gorgeous animals at the hands of many unscrupulous race breeders.
RIP Finn - you had a beautiful and loving second part of your life while in the care of Emily and helped her through some difficult times.
2022-08 | Parkinson's charity football
When did you last play football?
This month I stepped up a notch in my Parkinson's awareness activities by playing in a charity fundraising football match and participating in a number of related promotional activities to help raise some much needed funds for Parkinson's Queensland Inc Newly Diagnosed Program.

Walk 30km in one day - sure why not?
This month I walked from Mudjimba to Noosa as part of a team in Brisbane Coastrek 2022 raising money for Beyond Blue and raising awareness for Young Onset Parkinson's Disease.

2022-06 | EOFY Rush
This is a crazy time of year
Two full years since diagnosis and walking started - the great reboot of 2020.
Some exciting events happening this month including a trip to the Raglan "fly in" airshow and my sister coming to stay for a couple of nights!! This will be the first time that she has stayed with me ever so am a bit happy to be hosting!
It is also coming up to End of Financial year here in Australia, so work load goes up a notch.
